The official Amazon application for Windows Phone devices has just been updated with some improvements and bug fixes. The new version of Amazon app has just been uploaded to Windows Phone Store, so those who have a previous iteration installed on their devices should manually check for the update.

For those out of the loop, the Amazon application allows Windows Phone users to access any Amazon store around the world and make purchases from a single application.

Assuming you are an Amazon Prime member, you will have access to special shipping options, while the rest of Amazon users will be able to access their order history, existing shopping cart and 1-Clicking settings.

The application also features a barcode scanner, which requires permission for the use of the camera. Windows Phone users will also be able to pin the Amazon barcode scan tile to their Start screen so that they ca access it with a single tap.

Keep in mind though that in order to make purchases via Amazon App on your Windows Phone handset, the application asks for special requirements.

You can now download Amazon App for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. The application has been confirmed to be compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.
