Amazon unveiled its all-new Kindle Paperwhite back in September and since then the eReader has been made available in a few markets. Now the tech giant has announced the Paperwhite will arrive in India as well.

Customers looking to purchase the all-new eReader can place a pre-order for the device starting today, but the digital reader will ship beginning February 4.

Shoppers will have to pay Rs 10,999 / $179 / €131 for the Wi-Fi version of the device, while the 3G one will set them back with Rs 13,999 / $229 / €168.

It appears Indian shoppers will have to pay a little extra if they want a Kindle Paperwhite, as in the US the Wi-Fi model costs $119 / €87 and the 3G one $189 / €139.

Last year, Amazon took a big leap when it launched its own Marketplace site in the country and began selling Kindle tablets and eReaders.
