We're done with iPhone concepts for 9 months so let the iWatch ones begin

We pretty much know what the iPhone 6 will look like. We know its size and the way the screen and the back panel looks like. It's not like we're going to have any major surprises on September 9.

However, the iWatch is still a big unknown thing. We have no idea what the UI will look like, if it is going to get a square or a round screen, what kind of bracelet is going to hold it around our arm, and whether Apple is even going to release it after all.

Designer Martin Hajek takes a guess at the future iWatch and he made one of the most interesting concepts so far. His attention for details is amazing and the concept looks really good. It does, however, borrow a lot from the iPhone 6 design. The designer admits he based his concept on his previous iPhone 6 concept, complete with round and soft corners and the strange plastic bands on the back.

His concept has one big button on the right edge, a speaker grille on the bottom and a curved screen. The band has the Apple logo below the watch, on the back of the device itself, and on the clasps. The screen is curved upwards and it has a FaceTime Camera on top of it.

The iWatch follows the color palette of the iPhone so it comes in gold, space grey and silver. The concept only runs the Health and Maps apps so there's no way to see what the home page looks like. The interface is similar to the iPhone one: signal dots in the top left corner, Wi-Fi icon, the clock and the battery percentage.

Apple is expected to announce the iWatch together with the iPhone 6, but release it much later. So far there have been no parts leaked, no cases or Apple branded bands. A new report coming from Digitimes says that the iWatch has reached "engineering verification test." This stage of development means that the components for the device are in production and we will only see it and wear it in 2015.

This is not the first time a report citing sources close to Apple's supply chain that says the iWatch will not be released this year. The only explanation about Apple presenting the device together with the iPhone 6 may be that iWatch only works with the next-gen iDevice so Apple hopes to increase the sales numbers for the phone.
