Well, it appears that all hope is not lost for Xbox One owners as far as the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man 2 game is concerned.

Following a rumor that Microsoft's next-gen platform will not be part of the supported platforms for the Amazing Spider-Man 2, after some Xbox One pre-orders were canceled by Australian retailed EB Games, Activision reached out to the press and confirmed that it was true.

We reported that the Amazing Spider-Man 2 was not coming to Xbox One yesterday, but it looks as if things aren't entirely set in stone, and that Activision together with Microsoft are working to set things right for Xbox One owners.

"We are working with Microsoft in an effort to release The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game on Xbox One. Currently, the game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and the PC on April 29, 2014 as previously announced," an Activision representative stated.

The game was developed by Beenox, with High Voltage Software being in charge of the Nintendo 3DS adaptation and Gameloft working on the mobile port for iOS and Android.

Amazing Spider-Man 2 is coming out on April 29 in North America, April 30 in Australia, and May 2 in Europe.
