The two animals seem to get along like a house on fire

The picture above shows one sheepdog in Devon which takes its job very seriously and therefore agreed to adopt a lamb once the latter became an orphan.

Sources explain that the dog's owner trained the dog to show such consideration towards sheep when it was just a cub, so being a stepmother for lambs is something Jess is very familiar with.

“She’s been doing it ever since she was a puppy. I taught her to hold the milk bottle in her mouth and she did the rest. It’s very funny when she runs across the field gripping the bottle,” the dog's owners told members of the press.

Because Jess is soon to experience the effects of old age, one cocker Spaniel named Lily is presently undergoing extensive training so as to be able to one day successfully take its place.
