The presence of people and climate change effects are two elements disrupting the balance of small creatures living in urban populous areas.

In order to add more green spaces to crowded dusty city areas, the creative team from Waterstudio has designed a floating tower seeking to become the perfect man-made habitat for birds, bats and other tiny creatures.

The massive structure is designed exclusively for animals. The concept looks good on paper and will most likely become implementable by 2014, according to its developers.

The giant Sea Tree will be spotted on lakes, seas and even in harbors. It is considered the first construction introduced to safeguard flora and fauna in areas where urban development has turned green into pale shades of gray. The manufacturing process is quite similar to the one applied to rise oil storage towers.

The project seeks to motivate important oil companies to donate a sea tree to cities all across the globe, in an attempt to renew their environmental commitments.
