Two months after the release of Amarok 2.0.1, here comes the second maintenance release of the Amarok 2.0 media player. Dubbed "Only Time Will Tell," the new release introduces no more than two new features and eleven bugfixes. "The Amarok team is proud to bring you Amarok 2.0.2, codenamed "Only Time Will Tell". It is a stability update for the Amarok 2.0 series. Our primary focus is on the upcoming 2.1 feature release, but we have fixed a number of the most critical and annoying bugs present in 2.0.1.1. Get Amarok 2.0.2 while it is fresh, and keep Amarokin'. And remember, good things are on the way!" - said the Amarok developers in the official release announcement. Without any further introduction, here are the main features brought by Amarok 2.0.2:

· A message will appear in the statusbar when "loving" a Last.fm song;
· An error message will be displayed if Amarok can't fetch Wikipedia information.

The following is a list with the bugfixes brought by Amarok 2.0.2:

· If a script has undiscovered bugs, Amarok will not crash;
· LibriVox's book information service is displayed correctly now;
· The URL will be trimmed before the user adds a new podcast;
· The statistics are now correctly calculated;
· Amarok can now play OGG files that were opened from various file managers, such as Dolphin;
· The podcast episodes are now correctly ordered;
· In order to improve usability, an OK button was added to the podcast configuration dialog;
· The "now playing" widget icons received tooltips;
· Fixed a tagdialog crash, when songs without an artist were edited;
· Podcast episodes can now be downloaded from newly added channels;
· Amarok can be now successfully compiled on the Open Solaris operating system.

Amarok 2.0 was released on the 10th of December, 2008, after more than two hard years of development. Amarok 2.0 is one of the best iTunes-like media players for GNU/Linux, Mac OS X and Windows systems.

The source code of Amarok 2.0.2 can be downloaded right now from Softpedia. We also provide an Amarok 2.0 scripts section, updated daily. Give them a try right now!
