Amanda Bynes is currently in the process of rebuilding her public image that suffered quite a bashing last year as the Nickelodeon actress went spiraling out of control and eventually landed in rehab, being diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

While she's still battling her legal issues in court and trying hard to prove that she's changed her life, the actress was spotted on Twitter for the first time since her meltdown. On Saturday, a month later after she left rehab, Amanda posted her first tweet, letting her fans know what she was up to and thanking them for their support.

“Hi everyone! I'm busy studying at @FIDM but I want to say I love you to my fans! Xoxo Amanda,” read the tweet, but what was probably more attention-grabbing was the fact that Amanda had wisely chosen to delete some of her more controversial tweets.

Among the deleted tweets were some in which she gave her opinion on certain public figures' plastic surgeries, calling them “ugly.” She also chose to change the photo on her profile to a sketch that looked like a fashion project, with a few notes from a teacher maybe giving a few corrections of the drawing.

Her bio also changed to simply read “Fashion student,” as Amanda looks keen to complete the courses of the Fashion School and start designing clothes of her own.

Earlier in January, sources from inside the Fashion Institute for Design and Merchandising disclosed that Bynes was “very nice, friendly and chatting with her classmates,” and adding that she was “originally going to be a fashion design major but has now decided to pursue merchandise product development. She is enrolled part-time for the winter quarter."

Last week, the 27-year-old pleaded no contest to her DUI case from April 2012, and that got her on probation for three years, as well as having to pay certain fines. As part of the deal, she will also have to attend a 3-month alcohol education program in order to overcome her former addiction.

Reports after she had left rehab spoke of her improving state of health, under the watchful eye of her mother who was said to continue her treatment “in house” and getting good results. Bynes had been in rehab for some time after two years of increasingly erratic behavior culminated with a strange incident in which she tried to set fire to a neighbor's driveway.
