Just a few days ago, Amanda Bynes failed to show up in court for a pending DUI case, with her attorney telling the judge that she was mentally unfit to stand trial and that she was receiving psychiatric help. As it turns out, the former actress has not been getting that kind of help for the past 3 weeks.

For a bit of context, Bynes was put under a 5150 involuntary hold pending psychiatric evaluation this summer, after she started a fire on an unknown woman’s driveway and nearly burned her dog alive.

Doctors then ruled to keep her under observation and treatment at the UCLA Medical Center, deeming her a danger to herself and others, while her parents obtained temporary conservatorship over her.

TMZ is now saying that she actually left the Center about 3 weeks ago and is now in hiding at a Malibu rehab famous for its celebrity clients.

That the relocation wasn’t made public isn’t surprising, but the fact that Amanda is no longer receiving psychiatric help is.

“It's shocking... the facility does not have the psychiatric facilities available at UCLA, and we're told she's still in a desperate state. It's all the more shocking because she's under a special hold – called an LPS – which doctors got because they were so concerned about her well-being,” the celebrity publication writes.

“Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ... Amanda checked in to The Canyon approximately 3 weeks ago. She interacts with people very little and rarely leaves the area where she's living. Amanda is not wearing her wig and is ‘paranoid’ the paparazzi will find her,” the report further notes.

Before she was hospitalized against her will, Amanda insisted she wasn’t taking any kind of drugs and not even smoking weed, despite constant reports to the contrary.

She was also very vocal against anyone who dared to question her sanity, saying she wasn’t crazy but merely living her life like she’d always wanted.

Some months before, she announced she was done with the acting profession and moved from LA to New York to pursue a career in fashion.

Her parents told the judge that she traveled to NYC in a cab, carrying nothing but a suitcase and went on to spend a huge fortune in just a few months.

No word yet on what she’s being treated for in rehab.
