Amanda Bynes is convinced she has a microchip implanted in her head, which helps people read her every thought. As if that weren’t bad enough, she wants all those who are using this “service” to pay her a fee for it.

The retired actress, who is now in New York as more reports of erratic behavior are emerging online by the minute, spent an entire day with a reporter from InTouch Weekly, during which time she also made known this conviction of hers.

And that’s not even the strangest part about this whole thing, but rather the fact that she’s denying on Twitter the interview even took place. She also says she’s hired lawyers to take the celebrity mag to court for lying to the public about her.

Amanda Bynes has serious mental issues

That’s the bigger picture here, as illustrated by countless media reports, eyewitness accounts and even by Amanda’s own parents. All this points to the fact that she’s off her meds again (she’s been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder) and probably back on drugs.

Bynes has spent the last few months in and out of hospitals and rehabs, and then in the care of her parents, who were assigned conservatorship over her after she was arrested for trying to set a woman’s driveway on fire.

Right now, she’s claiming she’s been set up all along, that she never had any mental problems and that everyone who says differently is lying. That includes the reporter who spent an entire day with her, to whom she confessed she was engaged to be married, and to whom she opened up about her belief regarding the microchip.

“I want a dollar [€0.78] a day from every person who [is] reading my mind,” she supposedly told the reporter.

The interview never happened

As you can see in the tweets below, Amanda is denying the interview ever took place. She’s also saying she’s hired legal representation and will drag InTouch and other glossies to court for lying about her and trying to make her sound as if she was “insane,” when all she really is in fact is “smart.”

Oddly enough, when InTouch ran the first part of the interview, in which she talked about her fiancé Caleb and how they had already planned to have babies and leave showbiz for good, she tweeted to confirm the interview and even included a link to it.

To be fair, this segment of the interview makes her sound worse off – and not just because of that part with the microchip. Bynes is also quoted as saying she wants more surgery on her nose because “everyone can use a little bit of plastic surgery,” and explaining how much she “hated” living with her parents. “I would have rather been in jail,” she reportedly said.
