Amanda Bynes Has Serious Mental Issues, Friends Reveal

Over these past few months, there’s been a lot of talk about Amanda Bynes and how irresponsible she must be to get behind the wheel intoxicated, especially since she’s already been involved in a series of hit and runs. As it turns out, her problems run deeper than that.

TMZ has learned that Bynes’ problems stem from mental issues she seems to be suffering from.

Several people who come in contact with her regularly say for the e-zine that she’s been acting very weird, talking to herself and to inanimate objects, and displaying classic signs of a potential mental problem.

For instance, various people who go to the same gym as the actress, the famous Equinox in West Hollywood, claim that Amanda’s condition has been “deteriorating” for weeks now.

“One person says Amanda came to the gym Thursday looking dazed and began speaking with herself – making comments and then answering back,” TMZ writes.

“Another person says when Amanda was on the elliptical, she would stop suddenly and start ‘laughing hysterically for no reason.’ She did this periodically throughout her workout,” the same media outlet goes on to say.

Amanda’s neighbors are also very concerned about her, but not too concerned to actually alert the authorities. Admittedly, they don’t want to get mixed up in all this because she’s so high profile.

“One tells us he observed her on several occasions having long conversations with inanimate objects. Another person says people in her condo complex are aware of her condition and her conduct but haven't called her friends or relatives or authorities because they just don't want to get involved, given her profile,” TMZ writes.

Late last week, Amanda was photographed driving on a suspended license and smoking something that looked like pot behind the wheel.

Just hours ago, she was pulled over by cops and had her car impounded.
