Reports claim retired actress is acting erratically again, is in serious danger if left to her own devices

A few days ago, Amanda Bynes moved back to New York once the conservatorship that put her under her parents’ full care ended. Even before she boarded the plane at LAX, there were reports that she was off her medication, back on drugs, and en route to self-destruction – with rumors now saying she’s completely out of control.

Bynes labels herself a retired actress who first tried to make a career as a fashion designer and is now studying psychology. On the two Twitter accounts she keeps, she posts messages about how she’s perfectly fine, not doing drugs, and definitely not losing her mind. She also tweets a lot about how much she hates being stalked and hearing lies about her printed in celebrity magazines.

One of the most recent lies concerns the report that she got busted for shoplifting at Bloomingdale’s, after causing a scene by walking around the store with just one shoe on, whilst mumbling to herself.

No crime was committed, she’s being set up

Word online is that Amanda has completely lost it and her recent “shopping” spree to Bloomingdale’s is confirmation of that. The quotes are there to point out the irony, because she didn’t buy anything, but she did try to leave the store with a hat she had not paid for.

Because the item still had the tag on, it triggered the alarm at the door, and Bynes was detained by security guards immediately. As these things go, she was taken in the back room where she was questioned and she reportedly told the security guards that she wasn’t trying to steal anything: she simply didn’t have her purse on her.

As you can see in the tweets below, she maintains this is what really happened: she liked the hat and wanted to buy it, but she’d left her purse with her wallet in the car outside. When she got busted, she was just going to walk out of the store, to the car, to get the money.

It didn’t occur to her that she should leave the item she had not paid for in the store whilst she was going to grab her purse. Amanda claims she was “set up” but she doesn’t say by whom or why.

Shoplifting incident follows reports of violent behavior

Amanda didn’t start her week on a high note at all. TMZ reports that, just the day before the shoplifting incident, she got violent with a female fan at the Gilded Lily nightclub in Chelsea, clawing her when she wouldn’t stop taking her picture.

The victim offered photographic evidence of the injuries she sustained in the alleged attack, but says she doesn’t plan on pressing charges because she’s “still a fan.”

Apparently, Bynes had been acting out of it on her night out too: she was wearing a cap and dark sunglasses indoors, dancing by herself and mumbling things loudly. Moments after she arrived at the club, she started drawing attention to herself, not necessarily because people recognized her but because she was acting this strangely, which, in turn, made people notice and then recognize her.

On Twitter, Bynes says she’s being harassed and stalked, and threatens to sue everyone who claims she’s somehow mentally unstable, be they eyewitnesses, “friends,” paparazzi, or celebrity publications.

Bynes acted this way before, and she ended up in a psychiatric unit on involuntary hold

This is the second time that Amanda Bynes is generating this kind of troubling media attention. Most of 2012 and 2013 were a blur for her, when she moved from LA to NYC to become a fashion designer and she allegedly started hanging out with the wrong crowd.

At the time, she was often in the headlines for posting offensive and nonsensical tweets, for acting out in public, and for giving the most rambling interviews ever. It was said that she used to smoke marijuana non-stop and was even doing heavier drugs on occasion.

The whole thing culminated with her being admitted into a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation, after she tried to start a fire in a woman’s driveway and she nearly burned her own pooch to death. Afterwards, she was admitted to a specialized institution after being diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, but she also received treatment for addiction and other issues.

During this time, she was placed under a conservatorship with her parents in charge, but it ended in September when the judge ruled she was ok on her own. This is when her problems started all over again.
