Alyssa Milano at the NASCAR event hosted by Jay Mohr: he later fat-shamed her in an interview

Jay Mohr is a firm believer that, because he’s a comedian, all topics are fair game to him, even at those times when he isn’t approaching them in jest. According to reports, this was the case at a December NASCAR event, when he publicly fat-shamed actress Alyssa Milano.

Alyssa gave birth a couple of years ago and, while she no longer has the figure she had when she was a teen sensation (but who has the same figure they had as teens / young adults?), she looks amazing to this day. She is 41 years old, is healthy and happy, and looks after her family and herself, while also handling her still-successful TV career.

As Mohr made it clear at the event, she should also invest a bit more effort into dieting and Spanx, the New York Daily News reports.

The event, which Mohr hosted, was held at the Wynn Las Vegas, and had Milano as special guest. At one point, Mohr did an interview and talked about her, calling her “Melissa Milano,” a direct reference to comedy actress Melissa McCarthy, who was once described by a critic as a “fat hippo.”

“She was one of the presenters. She’s very tiny. In height. It seems like she had a baby and said, ‘I don’t really give a [expletive]’… I read it on her gut,” he said, as cited by the same media outlet.

For reference, attached is a photo of Alyssa at the event. You can judge for yourself if there’s any “gut” Mohr could have “read” to learn of her careless attitude regarding her figure.

“Somebody sat in the director’s chair and was not wearing Spanx and I was like, ‘Jesus Christ’,” he continued, adding that “Melissa what’s-her-name” was nice but didn’t look that great.

Though she would have probably been justified to rip into Mohr on whichever channel she wanted, Alyssa opted to be very gracious about it and make the best of a ridiculously bad situation. She tweeted, “@jaymohr So sorry you felt the need to publicly fat-shame me. Be well and God bless. Please send my love to your beautiful wife.”

Rose McGowan, who starred with Milano on the hit TV series “Charmed” offered to kick Mohr’s you-know-what also on Twitter but, by the looks of it, Alyssa has said all she had to say on the topic.
