AlterEgo: DreamWalker, a multi-level, platform game where you navigate around platforms, obstacles and monsters to collect jumping pixels, has been launched on Desura, for multiple platforms, including Linux.

2D platformer games are making a comeback and a lot of developers are trying their luck in this already crowded market.

In AlterEgo: DreamWalker, you have an alter ego or phantom twin that mirrors your moves from across the screen. Some of the levels are mirrored horizontally, and others are mirrored vertically. Users can switch between the hero and his alter ego limited number of times in a level.

Linux version has certain dependencies that need to be met: Mono 2.10+, OpenAL, libSdl 1.2 and libSDLmixer1.2.

If you don't want to run the game from Desura, just open a terminal and enter the following commands:

cd to game folder desura/common/gamename/
sh AlterEgo2.sh
