Love and bullets

As I said last time, the honest and professional good-guy approach has proven unusually useful in this foggy world of espionage, where people's intentions are never what they appear to be. There are characters who respect men of honor and mine can testify to that. As it turns out, only one of the women of Alpha Protocol likes the bad boy, for I've managed to romance the other three I've met.

The first time my Thornton had a romantic encounter was on the beautiful bachelor pad that I got for a safe house in Rome. With a balcony opened to the city, a two-storey apartment was my home while I did the missions there. This chapter from the game involves, among other things, a bounty being put on my head by one of the factions in Alpha Protocol. An innocent employee of this faction noticed this by mistake and tried to warn me.

I met Madison at a restaurant, where she told me about the people who were after my head. To protect her, I moved her in with me and, after a while, love ensued. This is very nice, think about the Bourne movies where Matt Damon's character tends to get involved with innocent girls that he desperately tries to protect as the unfortunate events of the films unfold. The choice of whether to save Madison's life or not is also very nice, given the circumstances and what she's done for you.

The other two romances happen at the end of the game and I don't want to spoil them for those who are still playing Alpha Protocol. Mina and Scarlet were my choices, as I did not like the trigger-happy SIE. Maybe my next character will get involved with her, though, as I plan to Steven-Heck my way through the game in the second playthrough I will definitely have with this great game.
