Although Renault and Fernando Alonso received a big blow in their Formula One title race as early as yesterday - FIA banned their mass-damper system - the Spaniard is still convinced that he will win another World Championship this year. Holding a 10-point advantage over Michael Schumacher with 4 races to go, Alonso trusts his team to make a convincing argument in the end of the season.

"We accept the decision and that is logical and we try to make the best in our car. We were quick in Hungary
as well so when I drive I don't feel any big difference so I have no worries at all that the rest of the season will be very good for us and I am totally confident. For sure the team is working hard to make some new parts I think in the front of the car, so I think we will have no impact at all in the team", told the F1 champ to Eurosport.

According to Formula One specialists, Renault is more than likely to lose one of two tens of a second per tour due to FIA's decision, since the mass dampers contained a moveable aerodynamic part. When hearing the decision, Alonso admitted that he felt both disappointed and troubled.

"I am not the person to say it is fair or not fair. Anyone has in his mind and inside what he feels is fair or not fair. For sure it sounds strange that after one year it suddenly becomes a disaster aerodynamically affecting the movement but we all understand and we all know that this is not true", added the Spaniard.

As for the Turkish GP, Alonso already stated, a few days ago, that he trusts Michelin to make the best decision in terms of tyres and believes that Renault's mechanics will not make the same mistake twice.

"We had the first mechanical problem in two years in Hungary when a wheel nut failed so it is not a drama. It has been fantastic the reliability of the car so hopefully in the last five races I can finish and if we can finish on the podium and not in fifth place then it will be better", ended Alonso.
