With the Hungarian GP closing up, the Formula One title race between Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso is getting more and more interesting. Both drivers are expected to make interesting statements concerning their chances for the final win, especially since the point-gap between the two is now only 11 points.

More, Ferrari got closer to Renault in the constructors' standings too. And, for the first time since the famous Williams - Benetton fight, we have a new interesting
battle inside the engine-supplier area. Still, it is always Alonso to measure the chances for the championship. Two days before the Hungarian GP, he warns his fans that he'll have a hard time keeping the pace with Ferrari for the next 3 races.

"I think it will be close, and especially the next three races will be difficult for us. We do not have time to react from Hockenheim to this race, so we will be struggling probably here and also in Turkey because there are no tests before then. After that I think Monza is maybe a good circuit for Ferrari, with high speeds, but I am really confident in the last three races. We have time to react, we have the capacity and so I put the money on myself", admitted Alonso before the Hungarian Practice session.

And the Spaniard does not have very pleasant memories of the Hungarian GP. Last year, when fighting for the championship, rival Kimi Raikkonen won the race, while he had to settle for the 11th position. On the other hand, Michael Schumacher already won the race 4 times in the past, and is now seeking his 90th triumph of career inside Formula One.

"I'm pretty sure they will not give up, they will fight back and they will get their opportunities. That's why it is so important that we use this momentum as long as we have this strength to come down to zero or even build up a cushion for the moment when maybe they become strong again", stated Schumacher about his opponent.
