A source close to the matter told us approximately two weeks ago that Microsoft planned to launch the Surface with Windows 8 Pro on January 29, but the company has remained tight-lipped on the subject.
The Redmond-based technology company has now started sending out invitations for a Brazilian event on January 29 that “will surprise you,” as Gizmodo Brazil writes.
While there’s no confirmation that this could be the release date for Surface with Windows 8 Pro, the software firm had said in December that its new tablet would go live sometime in January 2013, so it all makes sense now.
The Surface with Windows 8 Pro will be available in two different versions, with pricing to start at $899 (€680) for the 64 GB model. A second Surface Pro with 128 GB of storage space will be available for $999 (€755).
