Want to know when the Euro was introduced? Curious about which country has the cheapest gas on Earth? Stumped on the ingredients for six-layer dip? Now the answers are as close as your wireless phone. Alltel Wireless recently announced an agreement with AskMeNow, Inc., one of the leaders in intelligent mobile search. The partnership will provide Alltel Wireless customers, including those with smart phones, immediate access to the AskMeNow service, which in turn, provides the ability of sending questions to AskMeNow and receive relevant answers quickly via their phone.

AskMeNow can be downloaded on smart phones running BlackBerry, Palm and Windows Mobile 5.0 operating systems. This application is available for a flat rate price of $3.99 per month. AskMeNow's SMS service is available to Alltel Wireless customers without smart phone capabilities.

"We are pleased to partner with Alltel Wireless, a leading U.S. wireless carrier, and recognized innovator in the wireless industry," states Darryl Cohen, AskMeNow Chief Executive Officer. "Alltel's decision to support AskMeNow validates how integral the service is for customers who want instant answers and personalized content - no matter where they are."

Starting this week, Alltel Wireless smart phone customers may take advantage of a 30-day free promotion period and download the AskMeNow application. Customers may also receive the promotion by texting any question to ASKME (27563).

Alltel Wireless offers exclusive features including Celltop, Alltel's patent-pending technology that offers customers an easier way to access, manage and organize a wide range of information already available on their phones; "My Circle," allowing customers to choose who they call for free - any 10 numbers, any network; and Anytime Plan Changes, giving customers the flexibility to change their rate plan any time, without extending their contract.
