WHERE is a service that will enable Alltel Wireless customers to access (directly from their handhelds) detailed information for thousands of
locations, including directions and maps. For the beginning, WHERE is compatible with five cell phones: u520, The Alltel Hue and The Wafer (from Samsung) and AX8600 and
The Wave (from LG). Subscribers interested in WHERE will be able to download it, for $2.99 per month, in Alltel's Axcess Shop.

WHERE on your GPS-enabled device, you will be able to quickly locate shops, hotels, restaurants, gas stations, ATMs, parks, schools, hospitals and other locations of interest. Furthermore, WHERE offers up-to-date information regarding local events as well as customized information about local news, weather, directions, traffic condition, ski reports etc.
