One of the Android-based mobile phones that should arrive on shelves at mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless in the near future would be the Motorola DROID Bionic, with support for 4G LTE connectivity.

The handset was announced to the world back in January and was expected to be launched a few months ago, but got delayed over a design revamp.

Previously, some of the reports on the matter suggested that Verizon and Motorola might be gearing up for the release of this device sometime in early August.

One of these reports pointed at August 4th as the most probable launch date for the mobile phone, though no confirmation on the matter emerged.

However, what was said to be a leaked screenshot of Verizon's DroidDoes website supposedly shows the possible pricing for the device, while also suggesting that the release date would not be too far.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Verizon's latest Motorola handset, the DROID 3, made an appearance on the said website, hours before being announced officially.

This means that DROID Bionic might suffer a similar fate, though some suggest that the leaked screenshot would be nothing more than a Photoshop product.

What the said leak showed was that the DROID Bionic might be released at Verizon with a price tag of $300 attached to it with the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier.

In line with what other LTE-capable handsets at Verizon cost, the price might prove real, even if the screenshot could be fake.

After all, the DROID Bionic should prove more powerful than the DROID Charge, for example, which goes for the same price.

It is expected to land with a 4.3-inch qHD screen, a dual-core application processor, 8MP photo snapper on the back, and more. Hopefully, Verizon will make it official in the near future, so stay tuned.
