Alleged Photos of HTC Vision Emerge

Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is reportedly getting ready to bring to the market a new handset that would combine Google's Android operating system with a physical, QWERTY keyboard. Some of the latest reports around the Internet suggest that the said device would sport the codename of “Vision,” though no official announcement on the matter was made.

The upcoming Android-based device from HTC has made it into the wild a few times before, but little was known on it since recently. However, it seems that some photos with the handset are now available for your viewing pleasure, courtesy of Croatian site njuskalo.hr (via Engadget), offering us the possibility to have a look both at the handset's user interface, as well as it's QWERTY keypad.

Some of the phone's hardware specifications also leaked into the wild, including the fact that it would sport a 3.7-inch touchscreen display, while being powered by a 1GHz application processor, most probably a Snapdragon one from Qualcomm, complemented by 1.2 GB of memory. As for the operating system on the handset, it should be the Android 2.1 platform with HTC Sense.

One should expect for the upcoming HTC Vision to prove a new high-end device from the Taiwan-based phone manufacturer, previous rumors on the matter suggested. With that QWERTY keyboard included in the package, the device would be added to a HTC lineup that already includes the HTC Dream (G1), or the myTouch 3G Slide.

Hopefully, the rumor on Vision would pan out, so that enthusiasts could enjoy another appealing Android-based device from the manufacturer. Previously this year, HTC Corporation confirmed in a way that it plans on launching more handsets with QWERTY keyboards that would run under Google's Android operating system.
