Late last month, the news that Reese Witherspoon filed for divorce from Ryan Phillippe came as a shock to everybody. Not only did they seem the perfect couple, but they were not even rumored to have had any problems all along their marriage. Then, word got out that Reese found out that Ryan was cheating on her with his co-star on 'Stop Loss', now shooting in Texas. It was said that the 'Walk the Line' actress read a message on his Blackberry that led her to understand that he was no longer the man she married. Abbie Cornish, the woman with whom Ryan was said to be spending a lot of his time, finally spoke openly about the relationship she has with her co-star. 'We were very good friends and we did spend a lot of time together, yeah. But we're friends and that's it', she told 'Star' Magazine in an attempt to clear her reputation of the 'home wrecker' attribute that the world already assigned to her. However, sources on the set of the movie still claim that she is, basically, a liar because she was seen leaving his apartment in the early hours of the morning on several occasions. 'Ryan did not go out of his way to hide the fact that he was having a fling with Abbie. Besides the fact they were spotted making out in a sushi restaurant together, she was spotted many times leaving his loft apartment.', a spy told the media. Until now, both allegedly guilty parties (Abbie and Ryan) released statements claiming their innocence. Meanwhile, Reese keeps to herself as the divorce proceedings are underway.
