One of the smartphones that Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is set to bring to the market before the end of this year is rumored to be the HTC Zara, a handset that has yet to be officially confirmed.

Following rumors on the phone’s possible arrival before the end of the year, some more info on the hardware that it will pack inside has emerged, suggesting that it will indeed be a mid-range device, just as previously reported.

According to llabtoofer, the smartphone will pack a 4.5-inch qHD touchscreen when launched, along with a 1.4GHz dual-core Qualcomm 400 processor, paired with 1GB of RAM.

The handset is also said to sport an UltraPixel Camera on the back, a 1.6MP snapper on the front, to enable video calling while on the go, 8GB of internal memory, microSD port, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0.

HTC Zara should arrive on shelves running under Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, with HTC Sense 5 loaded on top (apparently, it won’t run Windows Phone 8, as a recent report suggested).
