14 DAY TRIAL // Next week, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation should officially announce a new Android-based smartphone, namely the HTC One max, a larger flavor of the HTC One, and info on the handset’s full hardware specs is now available.
The leaked specs are available courtesy of a leaked screenshot that emerged over at nowhereelse.fr, but some of them appear to be redundant, so we’ll take them with a grain of salt right from the beginning, as they could prove fake in the end.
Interestingly enough, the smartphone is said to arrive on shelves with a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor inside, though Engadget notes that it should feature a Snapdragon 600 CPU.
The phone is also listed with 2GB of RAM inside, 16GB / 32GB / 64GB of internal memory, and support for microSD memory cards for expansion purposes.
HTC One max is said to arrive on shelves with a 5.9-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a full HD resolution, as well as with a 3200mAh battery, which should provide it with enough juice for long usage times.
The leaked screenshot also shows the smartphone as measuring 144.5 x 70.5 x 10.6mm and weighing 130 grams, but nowhereelse.fr makes it clear that the device will actually measure 164.5 x 82.5 x 10.29mm and will weigh 217 grams.
Considering its specs, it would not make sense for HTC One max to be lighter than the HTC One, which weighs 143 grams.
HTC One max is also expected to arrive on the market with the usual set of connectivity capabilities, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and built-in GPS receiver, as well as with a fingerprint sensor on the back.
The upcoming mobile phone is expected to become official on October 15 with the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top, though it should receive an upgrade to Android 4.4 KitKat soon after.
The yet unannounced HTC One max has also received the necessary approvals in China, and photos with it are available from China's regulator, TENAA.
