Two suspects, aged 26 and 36, were arrested in Paris, France, after being suspected of launching distributed denial of service (DDOS) attacks on Electricité de France (EDF), a leading electricity supplier, several times.

According to FranceInfo the men are accused of launching attacks on April 20 and April 23, right after the Fukushima disaster, and then again on June 2, 2011, causing an estimate financial loss of 162,000 EUR ($210,000) to the company.

The alleged Anonymous hackers were apprehended after several months of investigations, the authorities managing to track them down with the aid of a blog on which the two published their plans to go after EDF in sign of protest.

Computers and hard drives were seized, the hackers now facing charges of unauthorized access to a restricted data system and blocking access to a data system.
