The low power requirements of Intel's Atom processors has enabled various system builders to get creative with the design of their recent releases, setting the stage for a wide range of devices that are built on the aforementioned processors. Ranging from netbooks to low-power all-in-ones and storage servers, these devices provide a mix of low price and basic computing experience. Such is the case with a new all-in-one nettop from the Korean company, DignLab, which has recently announced its AIO-A1 PC. This all-in-one, Atom-based nettop is featured with a 19-inch touchscreen display and will likely compete with similar products from the likes of ASUS or MSI.

Although the system will reportedly be powered by an Intel Atom processor, there are no specific details on which processor model is inside this 19-inch all-in-one PC. However, we do know that it measures 16.7" (W) x 3.8" (D) x 15" (H), boasts an aluminum chassis and is equipped with a mini-ITX motherboard. There's no integrated optical drive, but users will be able to take advantage of the internal 3.5-inch hard drive, two USB 2.0 ports, integrated 5W stereo speakers and a custom 170W power supply. The 19-inch touchscreen display runs at a resolution of 1280 by 1024 pixels.

Said to become available in four different colors, including pearl white, pearl black, anodized black and anodized silver, the entire system will be priced at the equivalent of $300 in Korea. Currently, there are no details that could indicate that the DignLab AIO-A1 PC will become available outside the country.

The market for low-power, all-in-one PCs powered by Intel's Atom processor could see significant growth if these systems manage to deliver the necessary feature package that will enable consumers to take advantage of a basic computing experience.
