Earlier this year, reports were heard of an upcoming Eee Monitor that the Taiwanese manufacturer ASUS was planning to release as a low-priced, low-power alternative to all those all-in-one computer systems on the market. Furthermore, the upcoming Eee product was expected to pack some touch-screen capabilities, making it an even more attractive PC. Well, it now seems that said system has already made a public appearance on a retail website, despite no official word coming from the Taiwanese maker.

Now apparently dubbed Eee Top, the desktop all-in-one system has been listed on UK-based Clove with a price tag of £399.99, including VAT. According to the details made available, it comes as a 15.6-inch all-in-one system that will make use of the same 1.6GHz Atom processor that is currently supported by most of ASUS' Eee-branded netbooks. Based on the Intel 945GSE and ICH7M chipset combo, the Eee Top will feature a Windows XP Home SP3 Edition operating system.

The listed configuration will offer potential customers a decent 1GB of DDR2 667MHz system memory, 160GB of storage space on a SATA 5400RPM hard drive, integrated graphics, audio and microphone, and all the basic connectivity options a user will require to setup the PC. Interestingly enough, the Eee Top will also sport wireless 802.11 b/g/n networking and, like any respectable desktop computer rig, six USB ports, with four placed on the rear panel, while the other two will be available on the side of the system.

Obviously, you will also receive a wired keyboard and mouse, and also a rather large software bundle, which includes StarOffice, Adobe Reader 8.0, Norton Internet Security (90-day trial version), Express Gate, Skype, Eee Memo, SoftStyles, Eee Cam and Eee Cinema.

The system has been designed to grant computer users the freedom of enjoying their favorite music, and other entertainment applications in a low-power desktop solution.
