Valve has already said that it is planning to launch the Steam Machines in November of this year and the company is now ready to offer more information on each of the coming gaming-focused platforms, with plenty of images of the devices and a look at the prices associated with each of them.

The company explains that it is working with partners in order to make sure that the coming PCs will offer performance superior to those delivered by both the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony at comparable prices.

A quick look at the list of devices revealed by Valve shows that prices are currently starting at 450 dollars (347 Euro), which is more than what the two console manufacturers are asking for their own platforms.

The most expensive Steam Machine costs more than 5,000 dollars (4,100 Euro).

The actual hardware included in each of the devices is linked to its price, and a lot of gamers will spend time comparing components before making a final decision on which of the offered platforms to pick up.

Probably changes will be introduced before the Steam Machines go on sale in November of this year and even the prices might go down, especially if Sony or Microsoft implement a new price cut of their own.

Valve is also planning to launch a Steam Controller and the Link device

The Steam Machines have been teased for a long time, but it seems that after a disappointing 2014, the devices are now actually ready for prime time.

Valve is also working on its Steam Controller, which has received a new design and will be offered for 49.99 dollars or Euro, also in November.

It is designed to work with all the hardware that supports Steam and can also be used with the new Link device, which will allow users to stream content from their library to a range of other devices in their home.

Valve is also working on the Vive virtual reality headset with its partners at HTC.

The company is clearly using all the newly revealed platforms in order to counter the moves made by Microsoft, which is planning to integrate gaming in both the coming Windows 10 operating systems and the future updates for the Xbox One home console.
