The team might change its policy on the issue in coming months

The development team at Blizzard in charge of the real-time strategy title Starcraft II says that it has granted one free name change to all accounts linked to the game, which can be accessed using the Account Management option on Battle.net.

Gamers need to access the option Character Name Change first, select a region and then click the Use Name Change button.

Upon logging into Starcraft II, they will get a prompt asking them for their new user name.

The team says, "We’d like to remind you that free name changes do not stack. Today’s name change will replace any unused name changes that were previously available for your account."

Apparently, Blizzard is also considering the possibility of offering more free name changes for the game in the near future and will update the community when it makes a decision.
