Sources who are in the distribution business of Macintosh computers are signaling depleted Mac Pro stocks, suggesting WWDC will witness the introduction of a new model.

MacTrast reveals that the standard quad-core 3.2GHz Mac Pro is backordered or out of stock at several online stores, such as MacMall, B&H Photo, CDW, PowerMax, Adorama, Amazon, and J&R Electronics.

Retailers/resellers that only show “limited stock” include MicroCenter, Frys.com, and Best Buy.

Some continue to have Mac Pros in stock, including MacConnection, and of course Apple’s very own online and retail stores.

The source appropriately points out that, “Stock-outs and diminishing retail supplies are a key sign that Apple may be preparing to release new models of a product.”

The Mac Pro hasn’t seen a proper revision in years, causing immense frustration for the professional community and creatives.
