All-Pro Football 2K8 is an American football video game developed by Visual Concepts and published by the 2K Sports label of the larger 2K Games company, which was released on July 16, 2007, only in North America, for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.
Seeing as how arch rival Electronic Arts has the rights to active NFL players, 2K Sports took a different route with its football simulator, securing the rights to over 240 retired players, and portraying them in a new, fictional competition, called the All-Pro league, with 24 teams grouped in six divisions of four each, while the rest of the strategy followed traditional NFL rules, including end of season playoffs.
