All-Pro Football 2K8 is an American football video game developed by the experienced Visual Concepts studio in California, published by the 2K Sports label of 2K Games, and was released on July 16, 2007, only in North America, for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.
Seeing as how 2K's arch rival, Electronic Arts, has the exclusive rights to active NFL players and the competition, 2K Sports took a different route with its football simulator, securing the rights to over 240 retired players and portraying them in a new, fictional championship, called the All-Pro league, with 24 teams grouped in six divisions of four each, while the rest of the structure followed traditional NFL rules, including end of season playoffs.
The game garnered quite a loyal following, especially from football fans that wanted to once again experience playing with iconic players that retired many years ago from the sport.
