A new jailbreak tool stemming from China is making the rounds claiming to unshackle iPhones on the newest iOS firmware without problems. The app’s GUI is in Chinese but according to those who’ve used it, it’s a reliable jailbreak solution.

Capable of putting Cydia on any iOS 8 device (from iOS 8.0 to iOS 8.1.2), PP is a free download from bbs.25pp.com for both Mac and Windows users. The software is similar (if not nearly identical) to the TaiG jailbreak tool, as far as the graphical user interface (GUI) is concerned.

Everyone is supported this time

Unlike before, when only Windows users had been offered a way to jailbreak their iDevices, this time around both Mac and Windows customers can download PP and hack their iPhones, iPads, and iPod touch devices.

Specifically, the software supports the following devices running iOS 8.0 through iOS 8.1.2: iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, iPad Air 2, iPadAir, iPad mini 3, iPad mini with retina display, iPad mini, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, and iPod touch fifth-generation.

We don’t encourage anyone to hack their precious iDevice, and we’re posting this solely for informational purposes, just to make one thing clear with our readers. However, if it does work as reported, we will post a brief how-to guide to let you know how to handle it properly. In any case, don’t do anything without backing up first.
