The smartphone should arrive in the US at other wireless carriers too

Before the end of this month, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation will make official its next Android-based flagship smartphone, in the form of the All New HTC One, the successor of last year’s high-end device.

The company has revealed plans for a press event in London on March 25 and, while it did not offer details on the device itself, it appears that it has already confirmed the name that this phone will have.

A tweet coming from HTC UK shows an image of a banner teasing the upcoming launch, where the “All New HTC One” is clearly visible.

With this smartphone, HTC is expected to make a move similar to the one performed by Apple with the latest iPad model, which was simply called “the new iPad.”

Furthermore, the upcoming handset is said to feature about the same looks as HTC One did last year, though it will have a larger screen, a more powerful processor, and a great deal of upgraded hardware inside.

Rumor has it that the phone will sport a 5-inch full HD display, a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, and twin 5-megapixel cameras on the back, for an enhanced imaging experience.

An official confirmation on the matter hasn’t been provided as of now, yet there are only three weeks left until all is formally unveiled and we’re able to learn whether the rumors pan out or not.

In the meantime, we should note that the All New HTC One appears almost confirmed to arrive on the market in the United States on the network of mobile phone carrier Verizon.

In fact, a certain HTC phone featuring model number HTC6525LVW has been listed at the FCC with support for Big Red’s LTE network, clearly pointing at availability through this operator.

HTC One was launched at Verizon last year with model number HTC6500LVW attached to it and, as droid-life notes, the increase to HTC6525LVW seems like a natural progress.

What you should also know is that Verizon’s flavor the All New HTC One was not the only device iteration to receive FCC approvals in the past several weeks.

In fact, AT&T’s model was also spotted there a couple of weeks back, only to be pulled soon after. Now, the listing is back, accompanied by another entry, similar to the original one. It shows support for AT&T LTE bands too, which could suggest that it will be sold unlocked, or that it’s T-Mobile’s version of the phone.

One way or the other, it appears that wireless carriers in the United States are determined to add the new smartphone to their lineups in the not too distant future, despite the lack of an official announcement as of now.
