The Surface tablet went on sale a few days ago and the device is apparently enjoying a huge success in the United States.

While the cheapest version was already sold out after just one day, the Microsoft Store now reveals that all three versions are completely unavailable right now, but you can buy one and get it “within 3 weeks,” Microsoft says.

Surprisingly, the most expensive version of the tablet, the 64 GB with a Black Touch Cover, is also sold out, but if you pre-order it now, you should get it in one to two weeks.

In the meantime, however, Microsoft is also giving away passes for all those who want to reserve a Surface and get it from a traditional Microsoft Store.

While this could be less comfortable for some consumers, it’s actually a very easy way to make sure you get the tablet on October 26. The only thing you have to do is get in line at noon in front of your local Microsoft store.

As you probably know if you’ve already preordered a Surface, the device is available in a total of three versions, two of which offer 32 GB of storage space. The top of the line version comes with 64 GB and a Black Touch Cover which can also be used as a keyboard.

Pricing for the Surface tablet starts at $499 (€380) and goes as high as $699 (€535), but the overall value of the package could be further increased by also buying some of the available add-ons.
