Without a doubt, we live in a world that's becoming more and more dangerous with every passing day, and for this reason, the various solutions that help keep us and our property safe are becoming more and more popular, the latest such product we've come across being called simply the S9 and being developed by a company called Smartvue.

The S9 is described by the manufacturer as an all-in-one wireless HD video surveillance solution that works with almost any Mac, PC, mobile or tablet device.

The system is built around a surveillance server, providing anywhere between 1TB and 3TB of storage capacity, whose contents can be easily accessed from just about any browser, whether running on a PC/Mac system or a mobile device.

And even if the company doesn't specify this directly, it's quite clear that control apps for the major mobile platforms (iOS, Android, Windows Phone 7) will also be available granting users access to their surveillance system from virtually anywhere around the world.

Moreover, the S9 also includes HD 1080p Video Cameras with full PTZ Control, plus a 802.11n wireless system, enabling users to easily place the cameras just about anywhere they see fit around their property (with certain distance limitations, of course).

"Smartvue S9 makes amazing video surveillance technology elegantly simple," said Martin Renkis, Smartvue's Founder & CEO, adding that "our patented technologies integrate high-definition video, advanced wireless and intuitive software to make it easy for anyone to monitor what's important to them."

According to the company, their Smartvue S9 is available for pre-order as we speak for a suggested retail price starting at $1,999 (US) for at 1TB 802.11N wireless video server and $699 (US) for each 802.11N HD resolution PTZ network video camera (not exactly cheap, but, then again, very few high-end surveillance solutions can also be billed as affordable).
