All of Gabon’s government websites – or at least all of the ones hosted on .gouv.ga domains – are currently inaccessible as a result of an attack launched by Anonymous hackers.

“All Gabon government websites gouv.ga are tango down,” the hackers announced on Twitter.

I’ve checked the sites of the Ministry of Interior (interieur.gouv.ga), the Ministry of Justice (justice.gouv.ga), the Ministry of Small and Medium Businesses (pme.gouv.ga), and the Ministry of Petroleum, Energy and Water Resources (energie.gouv.ga). They’re all offline.

Other impacted websites are the ones of the Ministry of Industry and Mines (mines.gouv.ga), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (affaires-etrangeres.gouv.ga), the Ministry of Economy (economie.gouv.ga), and the Ministry of Budget, Public Accounts and the Civil Service (finances.gouv.ga).

The attacks are part of OpGabon, a campaign initiated by hacktivists against the Gabonese government.

Last month, hackers disrupted the website of the country’s President, Ali Bongo.
