Actors Anthony LaPaglia, Viola Davis, Isabella Rossellini and Hayden Panettiere will start in the low-budget project "All Fall Down", which will be simultaneously released in theatres, and distributed on DVD and on the HDNet Movies channel, on July 25, according to Reuters.
LaPaglia, 56, and Rosellini, 53 will play the main parts in the film, which is written directed by Matthew Tauber (Rosen's Son). The story of the movie revolves around an architect and an outspoken female activist living in a dangerous housing project that the architect designed and the conflict that ensues.
Tauber's film is based on Scottish playwright David Greig's The Architect, and explores the issues of family politics, sexuality, and class, following two Chicago families from opposite ends of the economic spectrum.
The cheap project produced by Jason Kliot, Joana Vicente, Danny Leiner, Declan Baldwin, Mark Cuban and Todd Wagner for HDNet Films, 2929 Entertainment, went into production June 27th in New York.
"All Fall Down" is the first offering from Sly Dog Films, a new company Tauber co-founded with director/producer Danny Leiner. (indiewire.com)
