Yet another Slax based LiveCD!

The Alixe project tries to offer a French version of the popular Slax Linux distribution. But Alixe comes also in English, so if you want to access the French language, just type at boot: boot: alixe load=03 * You can also press the F2 button to see more cheatcodes for the French version, or F1 for the English version. Just like Slax, Alixe is a modular LiveCD, in the sense that you can add modules to it. The modules supported are the same as the ones from the Slax website.

The latest edition of Alixe is based on SLAX 5.1.8 Popcorn. Let's have a look at the installed applications:

■ Bluefish ■ Gvim ■ Ghex ■ GIMPInkScape ■ Gtkam ■ GQview ■ ePDFView ■ BMP ■ gMplayer ■ VLCFirefox ■ Sylpheed ■ Gaim ■ BitTorrent ■ Gftp ■ AbiWord ■ Gnumeric ■ Galculator ■ Gparted ■ D4X ■ Aumix ■ Graveman ■ Xarchiver

The Alixe LiveCD has two window managers, Flux and IceWM. At login prompt just type root as the user and toor as the password.
