Headsets were designed to make you live in harmony with your phone. Forget about simply talking on the phone. Feel free to enjoy Bluetooth headsets even if you really don't use them. After all, Bluetrek says that they're "fashion for heads" and "jewel-headsets". Most of the Bluetooth headsets come in a goofy design and some hold a fleshing light that reminds me of Star Trek Enterprise's annoying "trim LED".

Well, the story of Jawbone starts like the one about the Bluetrek Mini headset. This black colored "bone" was created with the help of Yves Behar, the renowned consumer-goods designer. The voice-activity sensor is supposed to touch your face when you hook the thing to your ear (maybe this is why it's named Jawbone).

"Jawbone's perforated shield curves to match the outline of your face while the inside surface is made from medical grade plastic to provide a soft and smooth feel on the skin." It even has its name encrypted on it. There's more: a LED underlines the name of the headset so you can let people know that you care about branding.

The device has Bluetooth version 1.2, rechargeable battery, talk time up to 6 hours and standby time up to 120 hours, range up to 33 ft (10 meters) and charging time of 2 hours. The noise shield feature is on by default, but you can turn it off (if you want) to by pushing the back button. It is also supposed to block out background noise, but it will probably fail when it comes to handling wind noise. No one can, not even Captain Piccards' stupid costume "button". It comes with 4 adjustable ear hooks (2 for each ear) so you can wear it on either ear, 5 ear pads (2 are round and the other 3 are oval shaped), USB charge cable and travel USB Charger.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
