Hardware maker Alienware says that it plans to launch its own version of the Steam machine during the month of September and that a full list of specifications and prices will be announced later during the year.

The information comes from the Steam Dev Days that are currently held in Seattle.

A Twitter message from one of the attendees states, "Alienware on stage now with their Steam Machine. Launching in September."

During the Steam Dev Days, Alienware said that those who were looking to acquire a Steam machine would be able to do so for prices that were equivalent to those of the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony.

Valve wants the new pieces of hardware to bring Steam games to the living room and will support them by launching the SteamOS and its internally developed haptic controller later in 2014.
