14 DAY TRIAL // From the producers of “Paranormal Activity” comes another horror film, this time about a not so subtle alien invasion. The first trailer for the flick, called “Dark Skies,” is below, embedded at the end of this post.
The trailer makes the film look quite promising, but if I were you, I’d be reserved before saying it’s going to rock, mostly because horror movies have a checkered history where misleading trailers are concerned.
The story focuses on a very close-knit family whose members suddenly begin to experience unexplainable things.
In the end, it becomes clear that they’re being “haunted” by aliens, who are probably probing them at night and making sure they lose almost all control over their body.
Directed by Scott Charles Stewart, the film stars Keri Russell and Josh Hamilton as leads, but also Dakota Goyo (Real Steel) and J.K. Simmons. It will be out on February 22, 2013.
Now, for the trailer. I will admit it scared the bejesus out of me at certain key moments.
