Aliens: Colonial Marines, the controversial first-person shooter from Gearbox Software, has just received its fourth and final DLC, the Stasis Interrupted story-based expansion.

The add-on aims at filling the void in the story of Hicks between the Aliens and Alien 3 movies.

Aliens: Colonial Marines caused quite an uproar when it was released at the beginning of the year, as the game's quality didn't reflect the different promotional videos, screenshots, or demonstrations showed to fans.

Since then, developer Gearbox has released several updates, not to mention new content for the multiplayer mode.

Now, the fourth and final expansion, Stasis Interrupted, has just been released rather stealthily on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms.

The DLC offers a new series of adventures with three playable characters that discover what really happened to Hicks, according to its Steam listing.

Aliens: Colonial Marines Stasis Interrupted is free for Season Pass owners, while regular players need to buy it for $10 / €10 / 800 MS Points.
