The development team at Gearbox and publisher SEGA say that Aliens: Colonial Marines is now out all over the world and that all the problems that gamers have initially faced getting the game to work in New Zeeland and Australia are fixed.

Users were reporting an error message which suggested that an executable associated with the game was not present and Gearbox staff first responded by saying that the problem was linked to regional locking.

A fix was applied and the issues remained unresolved, which prompted Gearbox to do some more digging and finally solve it.

Aliens: Colonial Marines is a first-person shooter that pits teams of human soldiers against xenomorphs based on the popular movie series.

The game offers a single-player campaign, with an option for cooperative play, and deep competitive multiplayer modes.
