Looking better than expected

You probably don't know much about Alien Shooter: Vengeance, but that's ok. I didn't either until 20 min ago. I found that this game is some sort of a combination of arcade action and RPG elements, and it is published by CDV Software.

The US company has also released a demo of the game, and as always, Softpedia in delighted to bring it to you. If you are curious about the game click HERE for downloading the free demo.

The demo includes four missions from the final game, two campaigns and two skirmishes. In the first mission, you will have only one vehicle available (a buggy). You can choose from eight characters from the final game and a wide variety of weapons, such as the Heckler Koch XM-29 OICW (what the heck is this?), Laser Pistol S50 (sounds just like a Volvo), Shotgun Silbert DM5, Grenade Launcher RG6 and as a throw-back to Counter-Strike, the Desert Eagle Pistol.

Alien Shooter: Vengeance is developed by Sigma Team, and they describe it as a sci-fi hack 'n slash game. The publisher is calling it an arcade RPG and the developer a sci-fi hack 'n slash, I'm confused... An arcade-RPG-sci-fi-hack 'n slash? Let's get serious!

So, we here at Softpedia installed the game, not knowing what to expect. But it turns out that the game doesn't look half bad. Lots of blood (red or green- it's up to you), lots of aliens to shoot and a nice camera view. Can't wait for the full version which is going to come out on January 22nd of 2007.
