Plot details from Ridley Scott’s upcoming “Alien” prequel (he actually has plans of making two) have leaked online and are causing quite a fuss, even if Fox has already made sure the original story was removed.

As we also informed you a short while ago, Scott got a green light on the budget for the 3D “Alien” sequel that he aims to rival with James Cameron’s “Avatar,” while also manage to live up to the name of the original franchise.

What’s Playing got a hand on leaked versions of the script for the first prequel and thus learned several important details about the plot, like how the Alien as we know it came to be and why it was so important to the Company.

After running the story, the website was asked by Fox to take down the original story, which could mean the deets were genuine. However, this didn’t happen until fans made a screenshot of it – which you can see here.

As for what to expect from the new “Alien,” it seems Scott could actually be gunning for an Oscar with it by turning it from a monster movie (like “Resurrection” was) into a monster flick with drama accents (like the original “Alien” and “Aliens” were).

The story will follow a group of friendly aliens (“Growers”) who travel through space and whose job is “terraforming,” What’s Playing learned.

They can control minds and force people do what they wouldn’t do otherwise, and they’re the first stage in the evolution towards the Alien fans know from the long-standing franchise.

That one is actually like a pet of the Growers since it’s used by them to terraform. Something happens to transform it in the perfect killer we got to know in the original movie – and which has been around for 30 years.

As with the rest of “Alien” movies, there will also be a team of mercenaries / soldiers involved, including a butch Oliver (possibly Zoe Saldana) and a tough Trucks (probably Gemma Arterton).

“It’s a deep movie – part science-fiction, part psychological drama, part, dare I say, romance,” What’s Playing said in the original article of the Jon Spaihts and Damon Lindelof script.

Another noteworthy thing included in the same piece is that Scott reportedly met with Noomi Rapace of “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” and franchise “resident” Lance Henriksen for roles in the upcoming film.

Henriksen, of course, would probably resume his part as the droid Bishop.
