Sega and Creative Assembly have confirmed that their recently revealed Alien: Isolation survival game is already playable from start to finish and that, until the game's release at the end of the year, they will focus on polishing and balancing the experience.

Aliens: Colonial Marines came out in early 2013 and disappointed many fans of the series with its lack of respect towards the source material.

After almost 12 months, Sega has revealed a new game in the franchise, in the form of Alien: Isolation, which will deliver a more survival horror feeling, reminiscent of the first Alien movie from 1979.

According to developer Creative Assembly, it's been working on the title for quite some time and it's already playable from start to finish.

As such, the studio has revealed to Edge that it plans on spending the many months before its launch at the end of 2014 to polish the whole experience, maintain a great balance, and eliminate any problems.
