She’s an established actress, writer and very vocal campaigner for vegetarianism. Alicia Silverstone, who will soon celebrate the fifth wedding anniversary with husband Christopher Jarecki, says she’s literally dying to become a mother in real life, after playing a pregnant woman on “Time Stands Still” on Broadway, People magazine reports.

Silverstone’s book, “The Kind Diet,” a book offering lifestyle advice and tips, and urging people to give the vegan way a try, has recently topped bestsellers’ lists. Alicia has other things on her mind though, like how she’d like to become a mother and truly relish in having a round belly and moving around with caution all the time. She was born to be a mother, she believes, and she doesn’t plan to put it off for that much longer.

“Wearing a pregnancy suit was so much fun. I loved the feeling of pretending to be pregnant and having little arms and legs and this big belly. I’ve been wanting to have a baby since I was 2 years old – I’m destined to be a mother. I can’t wait to be pregnant,” the 33-year-old star says for the aforementioned publication. For the time being, though, she might have to take a raincheck, as she’s got her hands full with work, having at least two brand new projects in the pipeline.

Last year, as she was preparing to release “The Kind Diet,” Silverstone recalled how hard it was for her at first to become accustomed to the very idea of becoming a vegetarian and how she laughed out loud when someone suggested it to her. Now, in her 30s, she’s more than happy she found out about it because it has changed her life in ways she couldn’t imagine possible, from helping her maintain her weight constant, to improving her skin and even allowing her to sleep better.

“I didn’t come at it, honestly, from a health point of view. I was 21 when I went vegan. […] Yet when I look at those pictures from back then, I can see the puffiness in my eyes. It’s weird to be 32 now and feel and look younger... Right after I first made the switch to a plant-based diet, people were literally telling me, ‘What have you done? You’re sparkling.’ […] Once you’re informed, then you can be really gentle and kind to yourself, by giving yourself all the gifts life has to offer – like mental clarity and vitality – all the while making the planet better,” Silverstone was saying, as we also reported at the time.
