At this year’s edition of the Stand Up 2 Cancer telethon it wasn’t just Taylor Swift who debuted a new song: Alicia Keys premiered a brand new track off her upcoming album, “Girl on Fire.”
Called “Not Even a King,” the new track praises the value of love over all earthly possessions.
It might have not even been written for this special occasion, as Taylor’s was, but it was an amazing performance nonetheless.
Like Taylor, Alicia too was coming off of
a VMA performance, which earned her raving reviews. She and Nicki Minaj and gold medal winning gymnast Gabby Douglas worked together for what has been dubbed the most emotional moment of the night.
